A message from Wally Cekala

Welcome to the August issue of Chicken Wire! Let's get right to the news. First, we're happy to announce the first two winners of our "How Do You Willow Tree?" Contest. It never ceases to amaze me how many ways our fans find to enjoy Willow Tree Chicken Salad.
On the subject of happy customers - always a favorite subject of mine - we're announcing an armload of premium product introductions in this issue, too. Read all about two new Willow Tree Chicken Pies, hitting your favorite grocer's freezer in September. We'll tell you more about our new fresh chicken and turkey gravy. And we've got new fresh salads in our retail store, too!
Elsewhere in this issue, we'll give you an update on our participation at Harborfest and tell you about a very special road race.
As always, if you have any suggestions for future issues, feel free to contact me. And remember to "like" us on Facebook. There are lots of prizes to win there, too.
Thanks for checking in. I'll see you next issue.

Congratulations, Michelle G., and Jennifer L.!
The first two winners in our "How Do You Willow Tree?" Contest!

"It's been cold and rainy for a couple of days, so I was in the mood for something warming. I tried the chicken salad with slivers of fresh ginger, a little hot pepper, and roasted pecans. It's great!"
That’s how Michelle G. became the very first winner of Willow Tree’s HDYWT? Contest. Yup, we know. Brilliant.
And here’s how Jennifer L., our second winner, enjoys her favorite chicken salad:
“I love to add dried cranberries, granny smith apple and pecans or walnuts. I then have it on a whole wheat wrap with tomatoes and lettuce.”
Why didn’t we think of that? Anyway, we’re fortunate that Jennifer L. has.
For their prize, they got to choose any one of the following items – a Willow Tree branded hat, T-shirt, Soft Cooler, Thermos, Canvas Tote Bag … or… money-saving coupons.
And both have another chance to win!
Everyone who entered has a chance to be our first Biggest Winner, too! That’s right – another chance to win, as well as snag a cool thousand bucks for their favorite charity!
Remember, every three months, Willow Tree donates $1,000 to someone’s favorite charity – the winner chosen from everyone who has entered within that period!
Michelle’s favorite charity is the Monadnock Regional Humane Society.
Jennifer’s favorite charity is the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
Good luck to everyone!
Act now for a chance to be next month’s winner. It’s incredibly easy!
Tell us how YOU Willow Tree! Participation is limited only by your imagination, so you can enter as often as you like (as long as it’s a different suggestion every time). Click HERE to enter.
Charity must be a certified 501(c)3 organization.
Like veggies? Red Bliss potatoes?
Then you'll love them in our two new premium Chicken Pies!

We’ve done it again – times two. Introducing the addition of Willow Tree Chicken Pie with Classic Vegetables and Willow Tree Chicken Pie with Red Bliss Potatoes.
Like the original premium chicken pie, both new Willow Tree chicken pies feature wholesome white meat chicken, home-style gravy, and a delicious flaky crust made from scratch. The new Chicken Pie with Classic Vegetables features corn, peas, green beans and carrots, while the Chicken Pie with Red Bliss potatoes offers hearty, satisfying, random-cut potato pieces. Both pies are available in three-serving, 26-ounce sizes.
The reason for the new pies: Keeping our customers satisfied.
Says Wally, “We created our original premium chicken pie as a main entrée, with sides dishes left to the consumers’ choice. But family lifestyles and eating habits have changed, so we’ve decided to offer additional options for complete, satisfying meals that deliver the same high quality and delicious taste consumers have come to expect from Willow Tree.”
Look for our new pies in your grocer’s freezer. And enjoy!
We're gonna need a bigger (gravy) boat!"
While you're at it, keep an eye open for our new fresh turkey and chicken gravy. Available this fall in the grab-and-go section of your supermarket, it's homemade from the get-go, and far better than anything that comes out of a jar.
Needless to say, we're extremely excited about our new great products and we're anxious to hear from our loyal customers. Let us know what you think! We hope you enjoy them as much as you enjoy the originals.
Ready? Set? Go Fresh!
A most delicious selection of salads
Want to taste fresh?
Really fresh!?
Really really fresh!!?
Then drop by our retail store in North Attleboro. That's where you'll find Willow Tree's "Go Fresh!" line of delicious sandwich and side salads. For sandwiches, choose from chicken, tuna, lobster or seafood salad, also available at select local retailers. Our side salads are too numerous to list (but Oriental noodle, potato and Greek pasta should give you some idea). "Go Fresh!" salads are distinctly different, entirely homemade and totally free of artificial ingredients.
A natural extension of Willow Tree’s decades-long commitment to freshness, “Go Fresh!” salads are the product of small batch production (kind of like micro-brews). This allows us to optimize what we call the “flavor profile.” We’re very picky with our ingredients. For example, we use only premium pastas – and our cabbage and carrots hail from local farms.
