Issue 10 November 2011

A message from Wally Cekala

Wally

Welcome to the holiday issue of Chicken Wire! As families make plans to gather from near and far, we're reminded that we have plenty to be thankful for and holiday-cheerful about.

First off, the winning continues in our "How Do You Willow Tree?" contest. Hear how keeping it simple works for our October winner, and remember to enter for your chance to be this month's winner.

With Turkey Day bearing down on us, we've got lots of Turkey News. There's still time to order a farm fresh turkey from our retail store. As well as plenty of other holiday "fixins" - we'll tell you more.

Willow Tree has chosen to be the presenting sponsor for this year's Turkey Trot 5k in Providence Rhode Island. This is a great Thanksgiving morning 5k that is run to benefit many worthy local charities including the RI Food Bank. For details, please visit the Turkey Trot website.

For a change of pace between the holidays, don't forget our new chicken pies - with Classic Vegetables and Red Bliss Potatoes. Along with our fresh gravy, they've become instant family favorites.

This is the last Chicken Wire! for 2011 - where did the year go? - but make sure to keep up with us (and 'like us,' if you haven't already) on Facebook. Happy Holidays, Everyone!

Congratulations, Michele Y.!
October's "How do You Willow Tree?" Winner!

Less is definitely more for Michele Y., October's HDYWT? Winner.

"I moved away from Southern New England 12 years ago and Willow Tree is one of the foods I miss most! Whenever I am home visiting family we visit the store in Attleboro and pick up a couple of pies for dinner and some chicken salad for lunch. And because I so rarely get to enjoy this treat I prefer my Willow Tree Chicken Salad plain, plain, plain with nothing but a super fresh and super soft Kaiser roll. I can't have anything else getting in the way of that delicious flavor!"

Sounds great to us, Michele! Like all of our entrants, Michele is automatically eligible to become our next Biggest Winner. If she's chosen Biggest Winner, her favorite charity, St. Hilary's Church in Chicago, Illinois, will be awarded $1000 from Willow Tree (in addition to her scoring a great gift for herself).

Does it involve cucumbers?

Carrots? Candy canes!? !?!

How YOU Willow Tree is up to you. Keep in mind that November is the last month to enter to be our next Biggest Winner. Tell us by November 30th and if you win, you will be notified during the first week of December. Enter right now, and right here.

Our New Chicken Pies!
Where to get 'em!
How to pay less for 'em!

People ask us where they can get their hands on our new chicken pies - y'know, with Classic Vegetables and Red Bliss Potatoes? The good news is they're available virtually everywhere, from Stop & Shop to Dave's to Big Y. (Oh my!) Better news: For a limited time, we're offering big, fat money-saving coupons on all of our chicken pies, available here.

What's in Store?

Each year, Willow Tree's retail store is "Holiday Headquarters", and we're happy to report that 2011 is no exception. Start with our farm fresh, never frozen Willow Tree turkeys, all lined up for Turkey Day. They're available at our retail store. Order yours by calling (508) 222-2479.

Also appearing in-store is butternut squash, a recent addition and a huge fan favorite. Add it to our scrumptious, all-star line-up of 10-inch, restaurant-style dessert pies and you've got a holiday going on. (We're calling it "Thanksgiving.")

As the year draws to a party-going close, count on us for party platters of every size and description. Yup, it turns out we're your party headquarters, too.
